About Pitsel & Associates

Pitsel & Associates Ltd. is a consulting firm, based in Calgary since 1984. The firm serves as a resource for management personnel, by assisting in:
• the creation of a positive work environment
• increasing organization receptiveness to change
• the creation of enhanced communication
• the reduction of staff turnover
• increasing overall productivity

Pitsel & Associates takes a multidisciplinary approach in order to best meet individual client's needs. Pitsel & Associates' full time staff is augmented by additional associates with specific expertise on an as-needed basis.

Key aspects which would ensure the success of any of the training workshops and individualized facilitation and consulting services are the firm's ability to:
• customize training and consulting for the client
in accordance with the client's needs
• operate at a high level of accountability
• bring acknowledged expertise in workshop design
and implementation to each project
• provide participant-centred, interactive training
• incorporate "hands-on" familiarity with the subject matters throughout

The Values which inform our practice are:

Dr. Patricia Pitsel

Dr. Patricia Pitsel, Ph.D.

Dr. Patricia Pitsel is a Psychologist, Educator, and Human Resource professional. Prior to starting her own counselling and consulting business in 1982, Pat taught in both the public and post-secondary systems in Alberta and Saskatchewan. She worked in Training and Organizational Development for the Alberta Government, and was Training Coordinator for Nova Corporation.

Dave Beatty

Dave Beatty, B.A., B.ED., M.A.

David Beatty is a teaching professional with thirty-three years experience as a teacher/administrator with the Calgary Catholic School division in many multicultural schools including First Nations students. He has completed Doctoral session work on Virtual Schooling and Brain-Based learning.

Angeline Fitch, Ph. D.

Dr. Angeline Fitch is a psychologist and trainer. She has taught in public schools, colleges, medical facilities, and various types of workplace settings, including a Honda plant, a cable TV network, photo developing shops, and fast food companies. She has also worked in a variety of geographical locations from much of northern Alberta as a consultant to the provincial government to North Dakota, and California. Dr. Fitch was the first woman to be appointed school superintendent in Alberta.

Michelle Cook, B.Ed.

Michelle Cook’s background is teaching English to a widea variety of ages and language needs, such as elementary school, college, and English as Second Language students.  She followed classroom teaching with a broader literacy influence when she served as  the Coordinator of the Adult Literacy Program in Red Deer, Alberta.

Marshall Chalmers

Marshall Chalmers, M.O.M., Chief of Police (Ret.)

Marshall Chalmers served 31 years with the Camrose Police Service and was appointed  Chief of Police on January 1st, 1999.  Prior to being appointed  Chief of Police, he served 7 years as Deputy Chief In charge of  Operations, Development and Learning ,  Internal Affairs, Major Crimes, Drug Section and Patrol Division.
